Aowyn's 7th Birthday Cake

My little girl turned 7 yesterday!!  Where does the time go...  We had a fun little party with about 15 kids.  The kids did some swimming and jumping in the bounce house, and they all had a lot of fun..  We went simple this year with a "Flip Flop" theme.  Thanks for looking!!

Happy 4th of July!

Hope everyone is having a nice 4th of July..  Just wanted to share the 4th of July treat I made.  These are the first cake truffles that I have made into a shape.  Blue (Chocolate) Red (Lemon) and White (Blond Oreo Cookie).  They were a big hit at our little girls Bible Study this passed Friday.  Hope everyone has a nice and safe 4th of July.  Thanks for looking : )

It's been a while...

Wow, it's been a while since I posted...  So since it's late and I'm ready for some sleep, I think I will just attach some pictures of my cakes, cupcakes and cake truffles that have kept me busy for the last two months.. 

It was a really busy February, with an order for 60 dozen mini cupcakes, that's right 720 mini cupcakes!!  It was for a Father Daughter Dance at a school (Hollywood Theme)lots of work, but lots of fun.. 

I also had a V-day special and made cake truffles and much more.  Enjoy the pictures and don't forget if you ever need a cakes, cupcakes, or cake truffles I'm your cake lady (there were to many to upload in one sitting, I will upload the rest in the next couple of days : )  Thanks for looking!!

Girl Scout Cupcakes

Love is in the air!!

Wow!!!  That's what I have to say about February, Wow!!!  What a busy month and it's not over yet!  I decided to run a Valentines Day Special and just see what happened!   I was so excited when I received my first order and then more started coming in...  

I have been playing around with Bakerella's cake balls (I like to call them cake truffles) and so I decided to run a Valentins Day special for "Cake Truffles" and "V-day cupcakes".  I ended up making over 130 cake truffles, 6 dozen cupcakes and over 5 dozen sugar cookies...  On top of my Valentines orders I  had an order of "Monster Eyeballs" for my friend Tifany..  They were for her little boy's birthday..  I also had an order for 2 dozen cupcakes with the Girl Scout Daisy on the top..

Skittles 13th Birthday Cake!!

A couple of weeks ago a really nice lady ordered a surprise 13th birthday cake for her daughter Jaimee...  The cake was three layers of red velvet with a buttercream filling, covered in white fondant with black, teal, green and purple flowers all over the cake and on top a big sparkly number 13.  The mother told me that her daughters nickname was skittles (she loves skittles) and she asked me if I could make the border around the cake look like skittles to match the flowers.  I made fondant balls and placed them around the cake, then wrote little "S" on them to look like skittles...  I really enjoyed making this cake, I hope to make another one someday, the flowers were so much fun!!  Thanks for looking....

                      

Teal and Brown Cake

Tuesday evening I delivered a cake to the Cheesecake Factory in Roseville, for a really nice ladies 40th Birthday!  A friend of the Birthday girl ordered the cake for her..   They wanted something that looked like a present with a bow on top in the colors of brown, teal and white.  It was a fun cake to make and they loved it.  I should stand inside the doors at the Cheesecake Factory with a cake more often, I think I could get some more business that way : )  The cake was French Vanilla, with raspberry filling, covered in buttercream and then fondant, I attached the bow with white chocolate!!!  Yummy...  Thanks for looking!
